Students in EKU's Anthropology Program spent one full week of Winter Term at the Lemur Conservation Foundation in Florida as part of the 2021 Primate Field School. Anthropology Professor Dr. Benjamin Freed taught students the study of primate behavior. Each day students followed one lemur, recorded observational data and notes, and discussed their findings. While one student group studied juvenile behavior in red ruffed lemurs, the other students examined behavioral changes in a mongoose lemur pair. Students improved communication skills, working in teams, and analyzing data.
