Anthropology research assistants aid in food insecurity prevalence study

Three students sit behind table

Anthropology majors  Geneva Chapman and Frankie McQueen are gaining experience in cultural anthropology alongside Associate Professor of Anthropology Dr. Amanda Green and Assistant Professor of Food and Nutrition Dr. Abbigail Hickey. Chapman and McQueen are serving as research assistants in the EKU Food Studies Lab during the spring 2024 semester. The lab is undertaking a food insecurity prevalence study across EKU  campuses to determine how many of EKU's students may struggle acquiring enough food to lead healthy and productive lives. This data will assist Drs. Hickey and Green in their ongoing effort to eliminate hunger on campus. To learn more, visit the EKU Food Studies Lab.
